All transportation is operated using clean, non-AC vehicles. Group sizes of 1 to 2 people travel in an SUV (Hyundai Tucson or Santa Fe), 3 to 8 people in a 9-seater Toyota Hi-ace, and larger groups of 9 to 18 people in a 21-seater Toyota Coaster. Standard hotel check-in and check-out times apply. Bookings are subject to permit approvals by the authorities.

We use comfortable, private non-AC vehicles. For 1-2 passengers, we provide a Hyundai Tucson or Santa Fe. For 3-8 passengers, we use a 9-seater Toyota Hi-ace bus. For 9-18 passengers, we use a 21-seater Toyota Coaster.
The package price is for room-only stays to keep things flexible, but we have included a special complimentary dinner at your resort in Paro on Day 4.

Arrival & Permit Processing
Once you arrive at the border town of Phuentsholing, our representative will meet you and assist with your route permit procedures. Spend your evening checking out the local shops and enjoying your first night in Bhutan.
Drive Up to the Capital
In the morning, we head out on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city. Watch the landscape change as we climb higher into the green hills. In the evening, we will visit the striking Tashi Chho Dzong, an impressive fortress-monastery that houses offices of the King.

Exploring Thimphu's Treasures
Today is dedicated to exploring Thimphu. We will visit the Memorial Chorten, see the massive Buddha Statue overlooking the valley, and watch the unique national animals at the Takin Zoo. We also check out the National Library, Folk Heritage Museum, a local handmade paper factory, and Coronation Park, before spending some free time around Clock Tower Square.
Valley Scenic Views & Dzongs
We drive to Paro this morning. We will explore Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) and the Ta Dzong, which houses the National Museum. Next, we visit the classic Paro Penlop Heritage Farmhouse, see the old ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, and stop by the ancient Kyichu Lhakhang temple. End the night with a special complimentary dinner at your resort.
