Need Clarification?

If you have any questions regarding our terms, refunds, or payment policies, feel free to speak with our support desk.

01. Booking Agreement

Welcome to **Magic Fares** ("we", "us", or "our"). By booking a tour package, a cab service, hotel accommodation, or any other travel arrangement through our website, mobile interface, or sales representatives, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between Magic Fares and the client ("you" or "traveler"). Please read them carefully before initiating a booking request. No modification to these terms will be accepted unless explicitly agreed to in writing by an authorized representative of Magic Fares.

02. Tour Packages & Stays

We arrange customized holiday packages across the Northeast region and Bhutan. Stays and services are governed by the following rules:

  • Stated packages (e.g. twin sharing rate plans) are subject to room availability at the time of final booking confirmation.
  • Standard check-in and check-out times are determined by individual hotels. Pelyang Boutique has a 02:00 PM check-in and 12:00 PM check-out, while Tashi Namgay Resort uses 12:00 PM check-in and 12:00 PM check-out. Early check-in or late check-out requests must be coordinated in advance and may incur extra fees.
  • Any additional charges billed directly on-ground (e.g. hotel spa fees, laundry, extra meals, alcoholic drinks) are the sole responsibility of the customer.

03. Cab & Transport Services

For cab-only and package transit options (e.g., Santa Fe, Creta, MG Hector, or similar private vehicles):

  • Routes, daily point-to-point mileage limits, and overnight halts are detailed in the itinerary. Deviations from the pre-planned route are subject to additional charges on-ground.
  • We are not liable for transportation delays or modifications caused by force majeure events, including heavy rain, landslides, road closures, or governmental restrictions in high-altitude zones (e.g. Chele-La-Pass, Nathu La).

04. Permits, Visas, & Identification

Travel in the Northeast and neighboring cross-border areas (like Bhutan) requires mandatory documentation:

  • Passports of all traveling guests must have a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of travel. Indian nationals may carry an original Voter ID Card for Bhutan and Sikkim entry.
  • We facilitate visa applications and inner-line permits (ILP) on behalf of travelers, but the approval is at the absolute discretion of the respective embassy or local state authorities. If a permit is delayed or rejected, standard package cancellation rules apply.

05. Rates, Fees, & Payments

Stated rates are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless specified otherwise.

  • A booking advance of 30% to 50% is required to secure hotel rooms and private transport confirmations, with the remainder payable prior to the date of departure.
  • Bhutan bookings are subject to the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) which must be paid prior to arrival, or on-ground directly by the client if excluded from the invoice quote.

06. Cancellations & Refund Policies

Cancellations must be requested via email to `sales@magicfares.com`. Our standard tour refund structure is as follows:

  • 30 days or more prior to departure: 10% of total package cost as administrative processing fee.
  • 15 to 29 days prior to departure: 50% of total package cost.
  • Less than 15 days prior to departure: 100% cancellation (non-refundable).

Please note that third-party supplier cancellations (e.g. airline tickets, dynamic peak season hotel bookings) are subject to those suppliers' independent refund policies, which may override our standard terms.

07. Limitation of Liability

Magic Fares acts purely as an agent coordinating transport, accommodation, and regional guides. We do not own or control the operations of these external service providers (hotels, transport fleets).

Consequently, we are not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through the acts of default of any hotel company or service operator. We strongly recommend all travelers purchase comprehensive Travel Insurance covering medical expenses, trip interruption, and baggage loss.

08. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms, or our travel services, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Bengal, India.
