Himalayan Summer Bliss
Tour Overview
Sikkim is one of those places that quietly changes how you think about the Himalayas. This 5-day, 4-night trip takes you through Pelling and Gangtok, two very different sides of the state, giving you both stillness and energy in one journey.
You begin in Pelling, a small hill town wrapped in pine forests and old monasteries. Mornings here move slowly. You'll visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, walk across the Skywalk near the Chenrezig statue, and if the skies stay clear, catch the Kanchenjunga range lighting up at sunrise, a view that genuinely stops people mid-sentence. The day also covers the Rimbi and Kanchenjunga waterfalls, the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, and the quiet ruins of Rabdentse, once the capital of the Sikkim kingdom.
From Pelling, a scenic five to six hour drive brings you to Gangtok, Sikkim's capital and a complete change of pace. Streets get busier, markets get louder, and MG Marg turns into the place to walk around in the evening with coffee in hand. The highlight here is the excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, sitting well above 12,000 feet, where the air turns thin and the landscape turns stark and beautiful.
Stays are comfortable 3-star properties, Rufina Palm Bliss in Pelling and Divine The Royal Heritage in Gangtok, both offering mountain views and daily breakfast. All transfers and sightseeing run on a private, point-to-point basis, so you're not sharing your pace with strangers.
This trip works well for couples, small families, or anyone who wants the Himalayas without an overly packed schedule. Starting at ₹15,919 per person on twin sharing, it's a solid, no-rush introduction to Sikkim's mountains, monasteries, and market towns.
